Jan Wiącek - one of founders of Choral Society "LIRA", founder of Male Choir "Lira" (1990) & Boys Choir "Lira" (1994), in years 1996-2009 he was the artistic director of our Choral Society.

He was born on 16th April 1943 in Warsaw. He graduated from State College of Music in Warsaw (Music Education Faculty) in 1975. For 35 years he has organized and led choirs in Warsaw schools and Teachers' College. For couple of years he led the mixed choir by the Warsaw Music Society m. Stanisław Moniuszko. He worked in Warsaw Choral Societies "Harfa" and "Lutnia" and performed with them many times abroad, in Canada, Belgium, France, Austria, .... In 1996 together with members of male choir he founded Choral Society "Lira" which currently consists of Male choir and Childrens choir.
